Check out this article from The Chattanoogan about ChattaScooter expands downtown locations!

“ChattaScooter has added The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Chattanooga Downtown as a new location for scooter rental pickup and drop-off. In addition to its current locations on the Northshore and Southside, a scooter station will be located at the corner of Chestnut Street and 5th Street, convenient for residents and visitors alike, who wish to see more of the city in a shorter time.

Jonathan Armstrong, regional director of Sales and Marketing for the Holiday Inn and the Dynamic Group, said, “We are very excited to provide this new service. Our team believes this concept will appeal to both our valued guests, and locals, as a convenient way to scoot around downtown.”

ChattaScooter is an on-demand scooter rental service only available in Chattanooga. It allows riders 16 or over with a smartphone and credit (debit) card to rent an electric scooter. Adventure Sports Innovation, a local entrepreneurial company, provides this service in several locations in the downtown area.

Current ChattaScooter locations:

North Shore: Adventure Sports Innovation, 191 River St. (across from Coolidge Park carousel)
Downtown: Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 434 Chestnut St. (Chestnut & 5th, by main entrance)
Southside: Kinley Hotel, 1409 Market St. (Market and 14th, at valet stand)

ChattaScooters can only be rented/dropped off at designated locations inside of a business, to ensure that scooters are not abandoned on city streets and sidewalks. Helmets and sanitized equipment are available at all locations, while the phone app provides detailed instructions for first-time riders. Support and service are available from Adventure Sports Innovation by phone at 388-2200.

“We launched the ChattaScooter program in the height of the pandemic, to offer more fun outdoor activities in Chattanooga,” said Patrick Molloy, Adventure Sports Innovation’s CEO. “We work to provide a high quality and safe experience. Our program is different because it addresses the safety concerns and haphazard parking issues that have occurred in other cities with ‘dockless’ scooters.”

ChattaScooter is expanding its fleet, and the company has plans for more scooters and more locations that will be added as demand continues to ramp up riders can find a custom map that offers suggested routes and pickup/drop off locations at: CHATTASCOOTER MAP.”
