Shining the spotlight on one of our favorite offerings: STEM academic field trips.
Students get to experience some of the coolest gear for adventure experiences, available exclusively in the Scenic City. They will learn about technology such as gyroscopic self-balancing boards, the laser and infrared components of virtual reality simulators, DC brushless motors, and more. After the educational component, everyone (including chaperones!) will get a chance to test out the innovative technology behind personal transportation devices and virtual reality. Big smiles, adrenaline bursts and inspiration are all on the menu!
Price range depends on menu and complexity of educational goals, but generally ranges from $25 to $60 per student. We can comfortably accommodate up to 15 students at a time. Adventures typically include Virtual Reality Simulators and/or Personal Transportation Device training and tour or games, plus an academic session. Our most popular session is “The Technology Behind the Adventures.” Other choices include “Inspiring Entrepreneurs” and “Creative Coding.” We’re also happy to work with you to design a specific experience for your students in the realms of science, engineering, innovation, and technology–just call us or send an email today to [email protected].
As an added bonus, ASI will provide an educational packet to teachers who want to follow up on the field trip and build further lesson plans from our content!
One example of our educational offerings: a coding class from Silverdale Baptist Academy chose us as their field trip destination! We gave a presentation on The Technology Behind the Adventures, and then the students got to experience that technology firsthand. STEM academic field trips are a great way to boost learning by combining theoretical knowledge and immediate fun applications!
