We’re sorry to inform you that Adventure Sports Innovation (ASI) officially closed our storefront at 191 River Street in Chattanooga, Tennessee, effective May 12, 2024.
ASI has delighted our customers and guests since 2018 with outdoor adventures featuring innovative technology. We are pleased to have been a unique part of the outdoor adventure business in Chattanooga, and to create fans of many new activities featuring electric powered personal transportation devices.
We’ve taught hundreds of guests to ride innovative gear, such as electric unicycles, hoverboards, hydrofoil surfboards, electric longboards, jet body boards, hovershoes, mini-segways, and many more. We built a market for scooter tours and rentals in our city, and created dozens of personal owners of e-scooters and e-bikes. Our Swincar tour operation introduced thousands of guests to the joys of traveling through nature on silent and eco-friendly off-road vehicles. And our Virtual Reality simulators introduced thousands of visitors to the thrills and total sense of immersion available through technology.
What happened? The Covid-19 pandemic was the start of our troubles with fewer guests and a complete disappearance of team building events and field trips. We pivoted our business model multiple times since then, but have been challenged by manufacturing partners going out of business, supply chain costs increasing, and many other factors that have led to our difficult decision to close our doors.
A big shout out to all the Adventure Guides that have worked for us over the past 6 years!! We have been amazed at your talents, energy levels, commitment to safety, and your ability to encourage our guests to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. We wish you all great success in the future!
